Elwood P. Dowd is a friendly and very pleasant middle aged man. He is nice to everybody he meets, even 6 foot 3 and 1/2 inch rabbits named Harvey. Harvey is real but only Elwood can see him, which causes people to think Elwood is crazy. Because of her reputation being hurt, Elwood's sister decides to lock him up in an institution. Then everything gets confusing...Harvey is a true classic. Its meaning may be deeper than it seems at first. All of the people I know who have seen this seem to like it. Probably because of James Stewart's phenomenal performance.
