The movie was ok - for children but it was missing all the great bits, the laughs, the tears etc that came from the book. I recommend seeing it but would recommend highly to read the book. It is one of my most favourite books ever.

Despite its politics, it chronicles the adventures/trials of a warren of rabbits forced out of their homes and having to find a new one. *Lots* of political allegory, but a strong story nonetheless. In addition, it has the perk of well-drawn characters (instead of Looney Toons type), and rabbity actions instead of rabbits-being-humans (ie Roger Rabbit).
